Every child has
a spark of genius.
We do this through our Personalised Learning pillar.
Whether providing targeted interventions based on accurate identification of learning barriers, designing tailor-made enrichment, encouraging student leadership, connecting a student with an exceptional mentor, or crafting a special study abroad opportunity, we are dedicated to recognising and fostering each student’s spark of genius.

Dwight School Dubai is an inclusive school and welcomes students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Students of Determination (SOfD), students identified as Gifted and Talented (G&T), Twice Exceptional students (TE) and students with English Language Learner (ELL) needs.

We are adamant in our belief that every child has a ‘Spark of Genius’ and we strive to help our students learn and grow to their maximum potential.
We recognise that all students have the right to education in a common learning environment, the unique learning potential of all students and value student diversity, the significance of learning theories that support child-centered and adapted approaches to teaching and learning while striving to advance inclusive culture at our school.

The foundation of the Quest programme lies in the belief that all children can learn and reach their full potential when provided with the right opportunities, effective teaching, and appropriate resources.
The Dwight Quest programme
COmprises three branches:
SOFD
(Students of Determination)
A graduated system of support with Quality First teaching (Level 1), combined with small-group based targeted interventions (Level 2) and/or individual learning support (Level 3) based on individual needs of each student. Close collaboration between teachers, students, parents and external experts lead to highly effective support services. Adjustments for some students may involve access arrangements for internal and external examinations.
G&T
(Gifted and Talented)
Quality First teaching provides challenging lesson objectives. Additional Quest services include assigning students to individual research projects, Spark Talks, specialised educational tours, attending debates, MUN, participating in competitions, opportunities to use problem solving skills, programmes of leadership, communication and other enrichment opportunities involving sports, music, art and/or drama.
ELL
(English Language Learners)
Using the WIDA framework supporting the design of standards-based educational experiences that are student-centered, culturally and linguistically sustaining, and responsive to multilingual learners’ strengths and needs, we provide targeted literacy interventions across the reading, speaking, listening and writing skills.
