IBDP RESULTS ARE IN
CELEBRATING OUR CLASS OF 2026
Celebrating a Cohort Defined by Character, Growth and Achievement
Dubai, 6 July 2026 –
Dwight School Dubai celebrates the Class of 2026, a graduating cohort distinguished not only by academic achievement, but by the character, determination and sense of purpose that have defined their journey.
When, in late March, it became clear that written examinations in the UAE would not go ahead as scheduled, students, families and teachers responded with calm and focus. Internal assessments were finalised, predicted grades were carefully evidenced, and the school worked closely with the IB to ensure that every student’s record of achievement was presented to the highest possible standard.
The results awarded today through the IB’s Non-Exam Contingency Measure reflect not a single moment, but two years of commitment, growth and achievement.
David Hutson, Head of School at Dwight School Dubai: “What I will carry with me about the Class of 2026 is not a set of numbers, but a quality of character. These students showed us, again and again, what it looks like to remain curious, to support one another, and to meet difficulty with determination and resilience.”
Pete Atkins, Assistant Principal and DP Coordinator: “One of the joys of the Diploma Programme is watching students discover who they are. This cohort challenged itself, pursued its passions and consistently supported one another. Their results are the culmination of years of effort, but what excites us most is who they have become and the impact they are ready to make.”
The Class of 2026 achieved a strong set of IB Diploma Programme outcomes, reflecting the dedication of students, the support of families and the commitment of Dwight educators .
- Average IB Diploma score: 35 points
- Highest individual score: 44 points (out of a maximum of 45 points)
- Pass rate: 100%
- University destinations spanning the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Asia and beyond
Where They Go Next
With a tailored university counseling programme, Dwight School Dubai continues to place students in institutions that match their ambitions, strengths and passions. This year’s university offers include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Switzerland, UAE, United Kingdom, United States.
The Mark They Leave Behind
As they step into universities and communities across the world, the Class of 2026 leaves behind more than a record of achievement. They leave as a cohort remembered for its kindness, its resilience and its ambition, and for the many different ways in which they ignited their own Spark of Genius. Their results deserve celebration. The people they have become deserve it even more.
Journeys Shaped by Passion
Behind every result is a story. Members of the Class of 2026 will continue their journeys at leading universities around the world, pursuing fields ranging from engineering to business, design, the arts and the humanities.
Aanvi | Human, Social and Political Sciences | University of Cambridge
Achieved 44 points
Aanvi joined Dwight in Grade 7 and grew alongside the community taking on leadership roles, pursuing her curiosity and, in the process, discovering what kind of leader she wanted to be.
Elected Student Council President in Grade 10, Aanvi came to understand leadership not as authority but as service. “It is about listening first, understanding the needs of others, and asking a simple question: ‘How can I help?'” she reflects. That same instinct drove her to create People, Power and Perspectives: The Story of Us, a Spotify podcast in which she speaks with guests from different backgrounds about global issues, identity and change, turning a classroom interest in Global Politics into something with a life beyond school.
She was also the first Dwight School Dubai student to win the Camerer Essay Competition, an achievement that deepened her appreciation for the power of ideas and storytelling.
This October, Aanvi begins her studies in Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge. She hopes to work with international organisations focused on women’s empowerment, youth education and global development.
Jonas | Business Administration | Babson College, Massachusetts
Achieved 42 points
For Jonas, the IB Diploma and the football pitch turned out to teach him the same lesson.
Balancing the demands of a rigorous academic programme with a serious commitment to football required Jonas to develop skills that no syllabus formally teaches: time management under pressure, the discipline to keep moving after a setback, and the self-awareness to know when to ask for help. As a goalkeeper, he learned to process mistakes quickly and refocus on what comes next.
Those habits will serve him well at Babson College in Massachusetts, consistently ranked among the world’s leading institutions for entrepreneurship and business.
Jonas heads there with a clear-eyed sense of what the IB gave him: not just academic preparation, but the resilience and organisation to take on whatever comes next.
Kavish | Econometrics and Operations Research | Erasmus University Rotterdam
Achieved 41 points
Kavish moved to Dubai from Switzerland in 2020, joining Dwight in Grade 7. Over the years that followed, he grew alongside a close-knit community, building relationships with peers and teachers over years rather than months. At a school where size means that teachers genuinely know their students, Kavish found his people and, along the way, found design.
Introduced to the subject for the first time, Kavish found himself drawn to creative thinking and problem-solving, developing skills that encouraged him to explore different ways of approaching challenges, ask questions and remain open to new possibilities.
This autumn, Kavish will begin studying Econometrics and Operations Research at Erasmus University Rotterdam, taking with him the curiosity, analytical mindset and openness that have defined his journey. He heads there with a characteristically grounded outlook: “It’s okay to not have things figured out. It’s okay to pivot. It’s okay to acknowledge mistakes. The world works in ways where everything falls into place in the end.”
Frederikke | Pursuing studies in Education & Photography
Achieved 40 points
Frederikke joined Dwight in Grade 9, moving from a campus she had called home for nine years.
What she found at Dwight was a community that met her where she was. The support of teachers gave her the confidence to take on more and to try more.
Beyond the classroom, it was photography and people that defined her time at Dwight. Having her photography featured on the school’s Instagram was, she says, a proud moment, proof to herself that her work resonated with others. Volunteering in the Primary Years Programme PE programme in Grade 12 opened another door entirely, giving her a first-hand look at the profound impact teachers have on young people and sparking a genuine interest in education as a possible path.
Before university, Frederikke is taking a gap year, travelling, working and giving herself the space to figure out what comes next. It is a decision entirely in keeping with someone who has learned, across five years at Dwight: to trust the journey.
